Junior Business Controller

We are searching for a Business Controller for Neways Advanced Applications. In this role, we are looking for a professional who is ready to proactively develop new ways of reporting, analyzing and facilitating business progress. As a Business Controller, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our financial performance while providing strategic insights to the management. What are you going to do as a Business Controller?

Analysis, process improvement, performance management and project management. These subjects form the core of the function. As a Business Controller, you will work directly with the Finance Manager. You will work on a variety of business cases and participate in various improvement projects. These projects focus on efficiency, effectiveness and various financial and operational issues. As a Business Controller you have regular consultations with various stakeholders. This includes Sales, Operations, Engineering, Purchasing and Supply Chain. From this position you are also responsible for month-end closings, preparing management reports and presentations to the board of directors.

From data to insights, from insights to business impact

Your activities also include:

  • Preparing budgets, cost price calculations and forecasting;
  • Taking care of budgeting, complex analysis and getting and sharing relevant insights with the business from the collected data;
  • Initiating and leading process improvement projects with different stakeholders ;
  • Gain insight into the ERP system in the field of financial transactions and the consequences of these transactions;
  • Participate in cross-entity projects, for example on reporting and tooling.

What do we ask of you as a Business Controller?

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate who has good communication skills and can use them at all levels within the organization. You have strong persuasive powers and are tenacious when it comes to conveying analyses and advice. Your development is paramount and that is why we are looking for someone with the ambition to grow and a dedication to self-improvement. Working independently is something you like and where necessary you look for the right people to consult with. Finally, you are proactive, energetic and you are open to taking on new things.

We also ask:

  • A Bachelor or master’s degree in economics and 1 to 4 years of experience, ideally in a production environment;
  • Expertise on (complex) financial planning and reporting processes;
  • Strong knowledge of business process management, budgeting and financial forecasting;
  • Knowledge of BI dashboarding & analytics;
  • Excellent command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing;
  • Available full time (40 hours a week).
