Scalable production for advanced land systems
Neways supports Saab in the industrialization and production of critical electronic sub-systems for UTAAS (Universal Tank and Anti-Aircraft System) integrated sight and fire control systems, deployed on BAE Systems’ CV90 infantry fighting vehicles across multiple European countries.

Challenges
Advanced land systems such as UTAAS require highly reliable electronics capable of operating under demanding battlefield conditions while meeting strict defense quality and performance standards. At the same time, increasing defense demand across Europe requires rapid industrialization and scalable production capabilities.
To support these requirements, Neways is responsible for the industrialization, production and testing of critical electronic sub-systems for the UTAAS platform. The collaboration requires seamless transition from development to series production, while maintaining consistent quality, traceability and testing standards across all production volumes.
Production takes place at Neways’ large scale facility in Slovakia, enabling efficient ramp up, local industrial participation and long term sustainment support for multiple European defense programs.

Key results
The collaboration supports the delivery of critical UTAAS sub-systems for CV90 infantry fighting vehicles deployed across several NATO countries, including complete system testing for the Slovak Army.
