Empowering the essential transition towards vehicle electrification is one of the core missions of our Smart mobility business line. We offer solutions for the full range of technical challenges underlying more sustainable transport: from EV charging, to charging cables, to hydrogen pumps, to inverters, as well as essential elements of drivetrains.

We use renewable electricity and installed solar panels on many of our buildings. We perform periodic energy scans and implement energy efficiency programs. This entails for instance installing LED-lighting and optimizing heating, ventilation, and cooling at our facilities, but also the increasing use of EVs.

Through our Code of Conduct for suppliers and employees we follow a zero-tolerance policy towards all forms of violence and harassment in the workplace. We have established policies, grievance mechanisms and support structures to anonymously report (suspected) incidents and have protection for whistle-blowers to report without fear of retribution.

Promoting safe and decent work is an integral part of how we do business. Neways protects and promotes labor rights, limits work hours, and ensures adequate rest periods and job security. We believe strongly in employee development through training programs and supporting continuous promotion.

Neways develops innovative smart technology that supports energy efficiency. There are many examples in our client and project portfolio– a large part of our contribution has been in the field of smart grid and smart agriculture solutions, both of which are critical to a future-proof, resilient global economy

Neways itself operates with resource efficient, resilient, and sustainable infrastructure. In recent years we have greatly accelerated sustainable transitions at our operating  and production companies. Larger newbuild facilities are designed to green building certification (BREEAM) standards, while older facilities are retrofitted to meet tomorrow’s sustainability standards.

Circularity is how we make a critical difference: to safeguard the supply and maintenance of our customer’s products, as well as to help preserve our planet. We support customers with modularity in designs and focus on increasing sustainable use of materials. We invest heavily in strong repair and reuse capabilities. This enables our customers to extend product lifecycles, but also introduces circularity to an industry-leading extent through component harvesting and “remanufacture as new” propositions.

We emphasize local sourcing of materials, and use scarce resources efficiently through reuse. Our companies are ISO 14001 environmental management system certified, ensuring a structured approach to avoiding and minimizing environmental impacts. We prepare an annual sustainability report, which we develop constantly to capture the full extent of our evolving ambitions.
